14 Citizens arbitrarily killed in Sinai

Justice for Human Rights foundation-JHR has reported that the Egyptian Police have killed 14 citizens in North Sinai and the Interior Ministry didn’t reveal the names of them so far. The ministry claimed that they participated in the attack on a security checkpoint in the city of Arish that left eight of its members dead.

JHR calls on the Public Prosecutor to open an urgent investigation into the incident and to bring those responsible for the security deficiencies and the killing of the citizens without investigation to justice. The authorities now have expanded in the illegal targeting and killing of the political opponents and forcibly disappeared citizens.
